Reaching across zones

Reaching across zones refers to our willingness to be flexible, to accept people who work in different communication styles than we do. There is no preferred communication style. Each describes a preferred way of interacting, not a good or bad way. Each style reflects both strengths and vulnerabilities. Most importantly, our individual communication style is not superior to the other three; no matter how much more effective it may seem to us.

In this workshop, we analyze the four communication styles, or styles of interacting with others. We examine the characteristics of each style and take an assessment to determine our own communication style. We focus on working with others across communication styles to sustain motivating, successful relationships, and better results in our careers.
